Me last night: Sleep now, so when I wake up I get to eat brekkie.
Me eating brekkie: Can’t wait for lunch!
Me eating lunch: Yay, Thai for dinner tonight!
Me eating dinner: I feel like dessert.
Me eating dessert: I can’t wait for breakfast tomorrow.
Anyone else constantly thinking about food? My list of cravings keeps on growing. 😅
I like sunflowers. They’re bright and yellow. And happy.
They make me smile.
Find your sunflower. 🌻
Self explanatory really.
Buy that handbag/coat/shoe/jewellery; go to that fancy restaurant; book that vacation.
Otherwise, what is life? Save for what? Work for what? Wait til you’re old and retired for what?
Treat yourself on occasion !
Why does adulting feel like endless loads of laundry, and never knowing what to cook for dinner?
Not a reporter/ news journalist, but a journal writer journalist – finally joined the bandwagon!
It’s not something I write in religiously; I use it to jot down thoughts whenever I’m in the mood (or need an outlet).
Highly recommend if you want a little time capsule of yourself.
One thing I have found about being an introvert, is that everyone assumes you like to be by yourself.
But that’s not always true. I crave social interaction, and enjoy going out and spending quality time with friends.
I just need to recharge my batteries in between (yes, this is where the alone part does come into play).
Complex and contradictory – that’s me!
If you’re not happy with your life, make a change; if you do, the possibilities are endless. If you don’t, then you are living your future.
It’s been a while since we last talked…How are you doing?
I’ve been doing some thinking, and have something I’ve been wanting to say.
It wasn’t your fault we broke up. It was mine, too.
I’m sorry for not supporting you more.
I’m sorry for making you feel like you couldn’t talk to me about some things.
I’m sorry for hurting you.
I’m sorry for not realizing what we had when we had it.
I miss you.
I’m thankful that you were in my life.
Thankful for the memories.
Thankful for your love.
Thankful for the laughter.
Thankful for the experiences.
It’s been awhile… And I hear you’re dating someone new.
I hope you are happy.
I hope she appreciates you.
I hope she makes you laugh.
I hope she loves you with as much love as you give out to others.
I’m hopeful that we can meet again as friends.
I used to wonder…
How do lovers end up becoming haters?
How do people who were at the center of your life end up becoming strangers?
How do close knit friends end up becoming mere acquaintances?
I wonder, what happens to all those feelings, shared experiences and memories?
I’ve experienced all of the above, and still have no answers.
But I guess it’s the same way that a stranger can become your closest confidante.
A casual friendship can become your strongest and most enduring relationship .
A chance encounter can mean you meet your soul mate.
An instant connection can be felt with a person you just met.
I wonder at the magic of human interactions.
I’m not usually one for writing goals or New Year’s resolutions.
But this year, I had a feeling that something needed to change in my life; I needed to push myself outside of my comfort zone and expand my social circle, and this became the aim of 2021.
I’m only three months in, but in these months I have for the first time in my life:
– Gone to a social badminton event by MYSELF where I knew NO ONE
– Gone on a blind date
– Went to a games night (by myself again, knowing no one)
– Got asked for my number by a stranger (and initiated a coffee date!)
These things may not seem like major events, but as a shy, awkward introvert, let me tell you: they are!
Each event was scary (sweat inducing, anxiety causing, nervous laughter type of scary); but it is so worth it.
